우리는 One army(precious plastic 프로젝트를 포함해 다양한 국제 프로젝트를 주도하는 곳)와 프레셔스 플라스틱을 계속 팔로우해왔어요. 우리 스스로 기계를 만들어내는 것과 프레셔스 플라스틱의 개념을 중국에서도 확산하는 데에 힘을 쏟고 있어요.

저희는 현재 6명이 한 팀입니다. 2명의 공동 창업자와 2명의 프로젝트 매니저, 1명의 비즈니스 매니저, 그리고 1명의 리서처로 이루어져있어요. 어떻게 만나게 되었냐구요? 우리는 세상을 더 나은 곳으로 만들겠다는 같은 꿈이 있기 때문이죠:)

상하이시는 2019년부터 새로운 쓰레기 수집 시스템을 5개년 계획으로 도입했어요. 중국에서 이 시스템을 적용한 건 상하이가 처음일 겁니다. 여전히 문제되는 것은 플라스틱 폐 자원에 대한 인식이에요.

Precious Plastic Shanghai is a social enterprise that was founded in 2016 with the aim to raise awareness about plastic waste by designing and building local scale machines to recycle plastic.
📍 How did you get to know Precious Plastic?
We have been followed one army on ins for a while and also precious plastic. we are passionate about build our own machine and bring this concept to China.
📍 How did the Precious Plastic Shanghai team come together? Please briefly introduce your team members.
Right now we are 6 for the team. Including 2 co-founders, 2 project managers, 1 business manager, and 1 researcher, how people come together? Cuz we have the same dream to make the world a better place.

In 2019, Shanghai city has launched a new waste collection system, following the 5 year plan. It’s the first city in China started to launch this system. The problem probably is still the awareness about plastic waste.
📍 We heard that Shanghai city launched a new waste collection system in 2019. Can you explain this plan?
Shanghai’s new scheme is strict: residents can only throw out their trash between certain hours, in public bins without bags, and food waste must be disposed of without packaging. Those who fail to comply face charges of ¥200 ($30). If communities don’t abide by the regulations, trash collectors must stop clearing their waste.
📍 What is the expertise of Precious Plastic Shanghai?
we provide solutions to team engagement, waste management and social responsibility. Our mission is to preserve the environment by creating awareness about plastic waste in China throughout.
📍 Please explain the machines you have. How did you come to produce a "shredder bike"?
We have bike Shredder, Shredder, heat press, cut press, compression...we follow the instruction on one army to build by our own
📍 Where and how do you collect plastic? We’re curious about the system from collection to sales.
We built a community and we got donation from our community.

📍 It's a cautious question, but how is the profit made? Can the team members of Precious Plastic Shanghai use the plastic recycling business as a full-time job?
It’s hard, specially after covid shock. We are recovering still.
📍 We don't think it's been long since the Precious Plastic Shanghai was made. In early 2020, did you experience a crisis due to infectious diseases? Even if it's not due to COVID-19, please explain if there are any difficulties PP Shanghai has experienced.
We are founded back to 2016. In the beginning it was rather than difficult. To build our own machine, to let people getting to know about us and to make profit to run the business. But somehow we got through this tough time, now we severed many customers they’d love to introduce us to other company, we built great reputation in Shanghai even China.
📍 What are your plans for the future?
We want make more people have awareness of waste of plastic in Shanghai, we’d love to give knowledge to more people in China about recycled plastic. Of course we want our team can be bigger to work with people who have same determination as us.
📍 Is there anything you want to say to Korea's Precious Plastic Seoul network?
Hope One day we can collaborate together on one project. And to share knowledge about your unique products.
